CEMS Career Services
The liaison from UVM's Career Center to the College of Engineering & Mathematical Sciences (CEMS) is Danielle Gallant (Danielle.Gallant@uvm.edu; 656-3450). She works with engineering, math and computer science students on all career-related activities.
She assists students in identifying internship/co-op, summer job and post-graduate opportunities. She also helps students to expand self-knowledge and awareness of the many possible career paths available, and to develop a career plan. In addition, she can help with preparing resumes and cover letters, researching graduate programs, and networking with employers and UVM alumni.
Pre-Professional Work Experience
While students can gain hands-on training and transferable skills from team projects in classes, student organization competitions and other extracurricular activities, pre-professional work experience can greatly enhance academic learning. We encourage students to gain work experience through internships, co-ops and summer jobs.
During each academic year, Career Services organizes career fairs, on campus interviews, and employer information sessions so that students can network directly with employers.
