Greene (CEMS '76)Alumnus Diane Greene was the keynote speaker at the third annual Invention to Venture Conference held at the Main Street Landing in Burlington on Friday, April 12, 2008. The conference, organized by The University of Vermont (UVM) and the Vermont Center for Emerging Technologies, is part of a national series of workshops designed to encourage entrepreneurship.

A 1976 graduate of the UVM College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences (CEMS) with a degree in mechanical engineering, Greene is President, CEO and co-founder of VMware, located in Palo Alto, California.
