Soil Fertility and Organic Fertilizers for Commercial Growers

Join the discussion about soil fertility and fertilizers on organic farms. Vern Grubinger of UVM Extension, and Wendy Sue Harper, NOFA-VT Vegetable and Fruit Technical Assistance Coordinator, will lead this session on OMRI (Organic Materials Review Institute) approved fertilizers and soil fertility on organic vegetable and berry farms.

Hosted by Suzanne Long and Tim Sanford, owners of Luna Bleu Farm, a family owned and operated organic farm for more than 15 years cultivating organic vegetables and berries on 6 acres and 4 greenhouses.

Directions:

From the north: take Exit 3 off I-89. Take a left on Rte 107 and go ¾ mile. Take a right on Rte 14. Take a left on Rte 110. In 1/3mi, take a left on Mill Rd. In 0.3 mile take a left over bridge. After 1.1mi, take a left onto Rix Rd. The farm is the 2nd drive on the right.

From the south: take Exit 2 off I-89. Take a left on Rte 132. Take a right on Rte 14. Go 6 mi to S. Royalton. Take a right onto Rte 110. Follow directions from above.
