Riverside Farm is located in East Hardwick, Vermont. We bought the farm in 1989, selling the development rights to Vermont land trust. The farm is 180 acres. 40 acres in vegetables and cover crops, 20 acres in hay and pasture and the rest is wooded. Our family is Bruce and Judy and our two children Chet and Anna -who help out at our stand in the summer. We grow a diverse mix of vegetables and culinary herbs. The farm is certified organic. We are committed to organic farming to cultivate a sustainable farming practice. One that's supportive of the earth, people -working on the farm, people eating the food and the community we live in. “Real food for real people” is Bruce’s favorite saying, A unique tool on our farm is the soil block machine. This European built machine shapes and seeds soil blocks for use in our transplant growing operation. This frees us from using plastic trays and grows a great healthy transplant.RIVERSIDE FARM
