Elected to the Board by the Vermont State Legislature in 2013. Term expires in March 2019. Born in Northampton, Massachusetts and became a lifelong resident of Vermont a few weeks later. Has resided in Richmond since 1984. Educated at Champlain Valley Union High School in Hinesburg, Vermont; UVM, BSN, 1982; and St Michael’s College, MSA, 1992. Former member of the Vermont House of Representatives, 2008-2017. Served on the House Committee on Appropriations for six years and House Healthcare Committee for two years. Following eight years of public service, she has returned to the healthcare sector and is employed as a Hospital Transitions Liaison for Age Well, Inc. In that role, she works with a team dedicated to reducing costly and avoidable hospital readmissions. Anne is also a part time candy maker for her small business, Sweet Hearts of Vermont, which produces 100% pure maple candy hearts for weddings and events. Former occupations include working as a Visiting Nurse, Director of Quality, Executive Director and Founding member of the Vermont Council for Quality, Extension Faculty at UVM, and as a Healthcare Administrator and Consultant. While at UVM, she was a member of UVM Faculty Senate and served on the Curricular Affairs Committee. Former member of the Vermont Human Resource Investment Council, the Vermont Council for Quality, and the Richmond Board of Civil Authority. Founding board member and Chair of the Richmond Community Senior Center Board. Lives with her partner Keith Frantz. Has three adult children; Rebecca, Josiah (UVM, 2007) and Luke.
