Family Description: SKILLED CRAFTS FAMILY
Skilled Crafts Family positions perform a broad range of routine to complex manual and mechanical functions and provide general to highly skilled repairs, restoration, maintenance and installations using a specialized manual skill and knowledge of a particular craft or trade. Specific apprenticeship requirements, certification or licensure may apply.
Skilled Crafts work is non-exempt and is covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act. A minimum of a high school diploma is required.
The Skilled Crafts Family is comprised of three SERIES based on defined bodies of work. Within each SERIES there are alternative career progression job standards and standards that are part of a named career progression. There may be more than one career progression in each SERIES.
