Karim Chichakly is Director of Product Development at isee systems and a Mathematics and Computer Science teacher at Kimball Union Academy.  Karim's 10+ years directing the design and development of iThink and STELLA software products has led to widespread use in education, research and business. He is a member of the Information Sciences SIG of the ISDC and is a student in the Graduate Certificate Program in System Dynamics at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.  He earned a BA from Skidmore College in Mathematicsand an ME and BE from Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College.

Karim joined Kimball Union in 1998 to teach mathematics and computer science.  He has introduced AP Statistics to the math curriculum, as well as the use of computer-based simulations to improve students understanding.  He is passionate about better ways to teach our children how to solve the complex problems of the present and future.  Toward this end, Karim is presently pursuing a Ph.D. in Complex Systems and Ecological Economics at the University of Vermont.

Karim lives in Cornish with his two children Tabor (KUA '07) and Amira (KUA '09), where he has been chairman of the Zoning Board since 1989.  He has had such varied jobs as freelance writer, commercial photographer, sound engineer for a motion picture, and software developer.  He is an avid reader who enjoys dancing, sailing, riding, swimming, skiing, kayaking, and playing the piano.
