Lyndonville--Planning ahead for the February school break? Registrations are now being accepted for the 4-H Tech Wizards Robotics and Videography Camp to be held in Lyndonville, Feb. 24-28.

The school vacation day camp, which is open to all Northeast Kingdom students in Grades 4-6, will be held at the Lyndon Town School located at 2591 Lily Pond Rd. It is sponsored by University of Vermont Extension 4-H with funding from the U.S. Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.

Campers will spend the week building and programming robots, creating their own videos using iPads and participating in other fun group activities designed to enhance their science, math and engineering skills. No experience is necessary, just an interest in learning about technology.

Camp sessions will run from 7:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily. Children must be picked up by 4 p.m. Snacks and beverages snacks will be provided each day, but participants must bring their own brown-bag lunch.

Registration is $25 and scholarships are available. The fee is waived for any youths with a parent or guardian in the Vermont National Guard or armed services. Space is limited, so early sign-up is recommended.

To register, contact Cassie Tricou, AmeriCorps member, at (802) 751-8310, ext. 365 or by e-mail at cassie.tricou@uvm.edu by Feb. 17.  If requiring a disability-related accommodation to participate in the camp, please call by Feb. 10 for assistance.
