The course will offer a realistic perspective on what it takes to operate an agricultural business to allow aspiring farmers to decide how agriculture fits best into their future plans. Anyone interested in starting a farm, specialty food business or other agriculture-related enterprise is welcome to enroll in the course.

The online class format includes self-paced modules and discussion boards, allowing participants to fit in class time when it works best for their schedule. In addition, a weekly webinar allows for real-time presentations and Q&A. All webinars are recorded and can be viewed later for those who cannot participate in the live presentation.

To register or for more information about the course, visit Click on "Classes," then "Growing Places." To request a disability-related accommodation to participate, please contact Jessie Schmidt at 802-223-2389, ext 203, or 866-860-1382 (toll-free in VT) by December 13, 2013.
