College of Medicine Admissions

The University of Vermont College of Medicine has a longstanding approach to medical education that reinforces the centrality of the doctor-patient relationship and the caring values of medicine. The college's graduates are prized by residency programs for their superb clinical skills and by communities for their public service.

The College of Medicine has a total student body of approximately 400, including twenty M.D.-Ph.D. students. On average over the last several years, men and women have been equally represented in the classes. Members of the most recently admitted class earned their undergraduate degrees from 62 different colleges.
