I. OBJECTIVES: At the end of this course students will.....
v
be familiar with and understand various RESEARCH METHODOLOGIES, both qualitative and quantitative; vbe knowledgeable of the research process, from conceptualization through data collection, analysis, and interpretation in order to be a knowledgeable consumer or future producers of consumer research;v
be able to use the computer packages SPSS and CATI to perform simple data collection, data set construction and analysis; andv
understand how research methodologies are APPLIED to answer research questions.II. READINGS

IV. LAB SESSIONS --Held weekly in the Waterman Teaching Lab. These are mandatory.
V. ASSIGNMENTS
There will be several assignments that use the computer. You are required to turn in a copy of YOUR OWN output with the assignment.
The academic honest policy as outlined in the Cats Tale is in effect for all assignments and exams.
VI. GRADING
ASSIGNMENTS 25% (includes readings/participation)
EXAM I 25%
EXAM II 25% (take home)
FINAL 25% (COMPREHENSIVE)
There are no make-up exams. See Professor Kolodinsky if you have a problem.
