Business Meeting Minutes from
October 4, 2004

Tonight’s minutes will be in a one-act format, as in there will be no
intermission. Feel free to take a walk halfway through if you
need it.
Artist committee: Molly needs a co-chair… possibly Meryl?
Voices Panel: Tues, 10/12 at 6pm in Harry Milly.
Who: Xona, Ethan, Kim, MegDEG, Lily… contact Kim by
Friday if you want to be in it. Even if you don’t want to be in
it, there is good food and good people so maybe you should just come
anyway.
NCOW: Speak out on Wednesday at 12. Setup is at 11.
Jackie has an amp for Lindsey.
People need to come at 11 to help set up…
volunteers? Jakob? MegDEG? Meryl?
Flyering on Monday. Kim/Rhian should email out
the times everyone signed up for. Jackie will bring ¼
sheets from office to library at 10am. If you want to help
but didn’t sign up, then just show up outside bailey/howe library
between 10 and 2.
Also… see the forwarded email in this email about
more help needed for NCOW. Be cool, be helpful, be
productive.
Be sure to check out the LGBTQA website for events,
keep an eye out for posters… you know the drill. If you don’t,
contact me separately.
My favorite movie of all time. ALL TIME SERIOUSLY.
Okay, the social justice floor in CWP in rm. 114 in
the Wright Rotunda on 10/07/04 at 8pm will be showing “But I’m a
Cheerleader.” That movie rocks my socks clear off my feet every
time. I watch it every chance I get, like I watched it just last
week. Unfortunately, I have Lab that night. But if you like
movies and stuff, you can go. RSVP by Tomorrow (10/05) with
LFLOWERS83@Aol.com
Presidential Debate viewing
10/08, 9pm, CWP… watch John and George debate it
again. Free pizza. Sponsored by the Women’s Center.
Retreat
Allen House sound good? 10/16-10/17… prob.
10am Saturday to 12 noon on Sunday. Contact Kim with cool things
to do for the weekend. Watch for more info as the date nears.
TimeOUT:
This Wednesday, 8pm… we will be playing “rainbow
gayme.” Anytime a word with a G and a long A are physically
manipulated to include a Y so that it spells GAY, well, you KNOW you’re
going to have fun!
ALSO:
The lovely Ellen is president of NAMI (National Alliance for the
Mentally Ill) has coordinated a panel on Thursday, 7 pm in Rowell
103. It sounds like it will be a great thing to see, and this
could be especially informative for anyone who has or knows someone
with a mental illness. I’d love to go, but I have Lab, but I’d
love to hear that a bunch of Free to Be-ers went!
