Business Meeting Minutes from
February 21, 2005


1.  Deg has finally worn the flaming skull boxers this semester!!!

2. Mardi Gras- Outright VT will no longer be organizing a float, but everyone should gop to the parade anyway.  It will be Saturday 2-26 at 3 pm on church st.

3.  The Prom will be April, 9 don’t forget.

4. People who are working staff at tic, but not on the committee, there will be a mandatory meeting on Sunday 2-27 at 5:30 pm SHARP in the office.

<> 5.  Tic fundraiser-at unos on wed 2-23 all day for dining and takeout.  With the coupon, 15-20% of the bill will be donated to the tic committee.  We will be handing out fliers on Tuesday and Wednesday in front of the library from 10-2.  Also, extra fliers are available, pick some up and bring them to your major department or people you want to support us.  Each department could order take out and pick it up, this would be a great use!

6.  This week is the last week of black history month.  Check out the poster and some events.  There will be a voices panel Tuesday 2-22 at 6:30 in the Alana Student center. 

7.  The action meeting with Bryant and Emily is moved to next Monday.  This means that next Monday’s meeting is going to be important and probably emotional.

8.  Flint updated.  There is a youth organization in Michigan which is making bracelets (like the livestrong bracelets) but they are red and they insulin is not a cure.  The money goes to research for type I diabetes, which is often overlooked.  This is the type that flint has.  They come in youth and adult, they are 5 dollars, if you want one contact flint!

9.  Creating change meeting this week in office Thursday 2-24 at 6:00 pm.

10.  Ethan, Thom, Kim and Rhian met with budget people about our budget, and had to prioritize events, they picked in the order: 1. Teagan and Sara for a fundraiser, 2. Ellen for LGBTQ April, 3. Dean Spade for Trans Day of Rememberance, and 4. money for tic.  We should here back this Wednesday, but who knows.

11.  TIMEOUT THIS WEEK will meet at 6:45 in the office and cars will leave at 7 pm for Unos, time out will be used to help generate attendance at the tic fundraiser!
