Outright Float:
- on Saturday Feb. 22nd from 1-5 we are building the float and assigning costumes
- there will be free pizza!
- parade is the following Saturday (March 1st)
- this friday's meeting is canceled (we'll do all the planning this saturday)
- M.'s generator is 2x4x3 so we need to book this one!!
Safe Colleges Conference:
- Saturday April 5th
- the following people are definites: Kim, Danny, Lacey, Nick, Caitlin, Ethan
- if you would like to go, please email Caitlin (cdanielm@zoo.uvm.edu) or ethan (efechter@zoo.uvm.edu)
- Lacey has a possible place for us to stay
- perhaps we can ask the Rainbow Room again, too?
- we will be leaving on Friday night and coming back Sunday morning
- we'll be back in time for Sunday's Gaypril event!
Translating Identity Conference:
- Saturday April 12th at UVM
- we need to start booking local (aka free) people to present
- if you know of anyone that would like to do a presentation/workshop or lead a discussion, please email Caitlin (see above) or Ethan (see above)
- this includes students! if you know (or are) a student that would like to do something, let us know! we need YOU!
Red Cross:
- Wednesday Feb. 26th from 6pm-7:30pm in the John Dewey Lounge
- the HIV AIDS Task Force is bringing a gay man from the Red Cross to talk about the Red Cross rule against gay men giving blood
- Evan expressed interest in coming to talk to Free To Be and for us to support him
- we should probably meet before hand to talk about and decide what/how we should say our points
High Schools:
- South Burlington High School wants us to go talk to their newly-formed GSA!!
- they would like us to attend one of their GSA meetings
- Tuesdays (next one is March 11th) at 3pm
- Danny, Kim, Rosy, Ethan, and maybe Caitlin can go
Meeting with President Fogel:
- next Thursday (Feb. 27th) from 3:30pm-4:30pm in his office
- we should draft up a list of demands/wants for him and why
- we should definitely mention "the letter" incident from Fall 2000
- all events we want him to attend must be written up and given to his secretary (who does his schedule)
