Conference Site

          The 4th International Conference will be held in Yunnan Normal University's Education Hotel, a three-star hotel. Education Hotel has 134 standard rooms and 4 luxurious suites. In addition, there are banquet rooms, dining rooms, bar, tea houses, meeting rooms, an auditorium, a beauty salon, a bowling hall, a swiming pool, and a business center.

Hotel room rates:
     Double Room (Single Occupancy): $18 USD
     Double Room (Share with a roommate): $9 USD

Reservation of a hotel room: 
      1) As soon as your Conference registration fee is received, a standard double room is automatically reserved for you.  A hotel room on the Conference site is reserved for you ONLY upon the receipt of your registration fee and on the "first come, first served" basis.  In case no hotel room is available at the Education Hotel (the Conferenct site), a room in another hotel that is about 5-8 minutes walk away will be reserved for you.
      2) If you want to share a room with someone else, please find your roommate yourself and send your name and the name of your roommate in an e-mail message to Ms. Lv Yaping by March 31, 2004.

To get to the hotel from the airport:
       As soon as you get out of the airport building, turn left and walk for about 30-50 meters (2-4 minutes) depending on which gate you come out of.  You will see the taxi stop sign at the road side where taxis are lined up to pick up customers.  Tell the taxi driver that you are going to Education Hotel on Xuefu Road, which is about 12 kilometers away for the airport.  In about 30 minutes, you should be there.  The taxi fare is about 30-35 yuan (about 4 US dollars).  

To get to the hotel from the railway station:
       The railway station is about 8 kilometers away from Education Hotel at Xuefu Road.  The taxi fare is about 15-20 yuan (about 2.5 US dollars) if there is no traffic jam on the way.
