Vikas Anand has been appointed Dean of the Grossman School of Business, bringing extensive experience in business school administration, strategic program development, accreditation, and global engagement to UVM’s nationally ranked business school.

Dr. Anand currently serves as Associate Dean for Academic Programs at the Poole College of Management at North Carolina State University, where he oversees a broad portfolio including undergraduate and graduate programs, executive education, global initiatives, career services, and marketing. Under his leadership, Poole has seen significant enrollment growth, curricular innovation, and enhanced student outcomes, including top national rankings and strong employment metrics. 

Previously, Anand held key leadership roles at the University of Arkansas, including Executive Director of MBA Programs and Graduate Innovation, Chair of the Department of Management, and Executive Director of the George W. Edwards III Career Center. At the University of Arkansas, he managed a center with an endowment of $5.6 million and helped design and launch a reimagined MBA curriculum and new master's programs emphasizing experiential learning that prepared students to succeed in dynamic environments. Under his leadership, EMBA enrollment grew from 120 to 200 students and the curriculum was redesigned to focus on global immersion and data analytics.

Anand earned his Ph.D. in Management from Arizona State University and has published 28 peer-reviewed journal articles, with his research cited over 6,000 times. He is an award-winning teacher and has taught across undergraduate, MBA, and PhD levels, while mentoring students and faculty alike. 

Anand’s leadership is marked by a commitment to inclusive excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and innovation—evident in his development of sustainability and AI-focused programs, global study initiatives, and lifelong learning platforms. With a background in international business and a deep understanding of institutional advancement, he brings a visionary and global approach to aligning business education with societal impact, industry relevance, and student success.
