Section Description

Eating disorders are a serious public health issue; defined by their overwhelming prevalence, economic burden, and severity. While overall awareness of eating disorders has increased over the last five years, eating disorders remain underfunded, understudied, and undertreated, especially in rural and minoritized populations. HSCI 2990 will introduce students to eating disorders using a public health framework and explore and critique the field as it relates to prevention and treatment.
