Section Description
This course offers an immersive, hands-on exploration of biological control strategies within Integrated Pest Management (IPM). Students will gain practical experience in culturing entomopathogenic fungi, conducting bioassays, and implementing biological control techniques, including the release of beneficial insects. Through interactive lectures, field visits, and lab-based activities, students will develop essential skills in identifying pests and beneficial organisms, monitoring populations, and designing effective IPM strategies. Field visits to farms, orchards, and greenhouses will provide firsthand insight into real-world IPM applications, allowing students to observe and analyze sustainable pest management practices in action.
