Multicultural Scholarship

The Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources (RSENR) is pleased to announce a scholarship for students admitted to the low residency MPS in Leadership for Sustainability (MLS).

The Multicultural Scholarship supports graduate students from underrepresented and marginalized populations, as well as those who share a commitment to creating an inclusive and welcoming climate in RSENR and the University.  Learn more about the MLS Statement on Diversity, Power, & Privilege.

Eligibility Criteria

Preference will be given to students:

  1. from underrepresented and marginalized populations; or
  2. who have otherwise articulated high potential to contribute to the diversity, inclusivity, and positive climate of the University and RSENR; and
  3. with outstanding academic ability and professional promise as assessed by a faculty committee that will examine the application; and
  4. demonstrated financial need.

 

In order to apply for financial assistance, students must complete the Multicultural Scholarship Application and submit a FAFSA form through the graduate college.  Financial assistance is typically offered for a period of two years.

In order to continue to receive financial support from The Rubenstein School, a student must be in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and appropriate progression to degree completion. In no case may the amount of financial aid awarded to a student from all sources in a given year exceed the estimated annual costs of attending the Rubenstein School.
