Who We Are

Matthew McGee is from Wyoming, where he developed his interests in outdoor recreation and environmental stewardship. He earned dual bachelor's degrees in marketing and economics from the University of Wyoming - leading him to a career in student services. Now acting as the Ask UVM Student Success Specialist, Matthew leads the CAT Guide team and wholistically supports the success of the Ask UVM office. 

Kevin McPherson comes to UVM from Boston University where he was an Academic Advisor in the College of Communications. Kevin moved to Burlington with his wife and dog to be closer to the nature and mountains of Vermont. He holds a Bachelor of History and a Master of Education from Merrimack College. As the Ask UVM Coordinator, Kevin works with offices around campus to ensure that Ask UVM is providing the best possible service to the students of UVM.  

Jennifer Fath has been a member of the UVM community since 1993 and currently serves as the Associate Registrar for Student Success and Retention. Jennifer joined the Office of the Registrar in 2019 and prior to that, she held positions in the Grossman School of Business working closely with students on their academic and career goals. Jennifer works closely with the Ask UVM team to provide strategic and innovative support to UVM students. In addition, she works with members of the Registrar’s Office team to advance the student experience through the Navigate360 platform, undergraduate retention and persistence, commencement, and transfer pathways. Jennifer earned her B.A. from UVM in 1997 and her M.Ed. from UVM in 1999. She is a member of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO).

Veronika Carter was appointed University Registrar in May 2017. She works with a staff of twenty-six professionals and oversees all Records and Registration functions, Transfer Affairs, Residency, and Student Veteran Services. She strives to provide innovative and efficient solutions and played a key role in the success of two separate degree audit implementations. She leads an office that emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to excellence and inclusivity. Veronika earned her B.A. from UVM in 1997 and shortly after graduating began her career in the University of Vermont Registrar’s Office. She is a member of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO).

J. Dickinson is Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and Student Success. Her division supports academic excellence and student success endeavors across the University. Dr. Dickinson's involvement with Ask UVM is motivated by her belief in the power of connection to foster student confidence and empowerment in their UVM journey. In addition to her administrative role, she is a faculty member in the Department of Anthropology. Her research focuses on linguistic anthropology of Ukraine, including narratives of labor and migration and facets of linguistic identity.
