UVM GO International and UVM GO Cities

Beginning on Monday, April 1, 2024, the UVM GO International and UVM GO Cities Lottery will be open to incoming first-year students who have committed to UVM and paid their deposit. The initial lottery will close at midnight on May 10, 2024.

Participants in UVM GO International programs require a U.S passport that is valid for at least six months after the program ends.

Please note that entering the lottery does not guarantee a spot in a UVM GO program.

When the lottery closes, entrants will be randomly selected and placed in one of their top programs. Each program is capped at 20 students. If the selected program(s) have been filled, the entrant will be placed on a waitlist and notified if a spot becomes available on a program. Waitlist placement notifications occur on a rolling basis. After the first round of the lottery, any remaining program openings may be filled by subsequent lottery rounds.

All applicants will be notified in May via email if they have been drawn from the lottery or waitlisted. If you are notified that you’ve been drawn from the lottery, or if you are offered a spot from the waitlist, you have one week to formally accept your spot by completing the registration form and paying the registration fee.

Once you’ve formally registered and paid the registration fee, you will receive an email confirming your enrollment in your program. The UVM GO team will follow up with more information about your program, including details about arrival and lodging so you can plan your travel. We’ll continue to stay in touch over the summer, so we encourage you to check your UVM email frequently.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If your plans change and you need to cancel your UVM GO registration, please contact us via email at uvmgo@uvm.edu.

Cancellations made by May 31 will be fully refunded. Cancellations made between June 1 and June 10 are eligible for a 50% refund. In extenuating circumstances, partial refunds for any cancellations made after June 10 may be granted at the discretion of the UVM GO team.

*All cancellations of registrations paid by credit card (regardless of when the cancellation is made) will be subject to a 4% credit card processing fee.

Our cancellation policy reflects the challenge, extra work, and material costs required to fill programs as the summer progresses. As we get closer to August, our efforts move from registration to program preparation. We do understand that things come up out of anyone’s control, so please do not hesitate to reach out to discuss your situation if needed.

UVM GO Community

Beginning May 30, the UVM GO Community Lottery will be open to incoming first-year students who have committed to UVM, paid their deposit, and have been selected into a Residential Learning Community. Participants are only eligible to enter the lottery for the UVM GO program(s) offered in their assigned Learning Community. The initial UVM GO Community Lottery will close on June 20, 2024.

When the lottery closes, entrants will be randomly selected for placement in their Learning Community’s program(s). Each program is capped at 20 students. If the selected program(s) have been filled, the entrant will be placed on the waitlist and notified if a spot becomes available. Waitlist placement notifications occur on a rolling basis.

All applicants will be notified in late June via email if they have been drawn from the lottery or waitlisted. If you are notified that you’ve been drawn from the lottery, or if you are offered a spot from the waitlist, you have one week to formally accept your spot by completing the registration form and paying the registration fee. We encourage interested students who have missed deadlines to reach out to us directly at uvmgo@uvm.edu - we are happy to check program availability!

Once you’ve formally registered and paid the registration fee, you will receive an email confirming your enrollment in your program. The UVM GO team will follow up with more information about your program, including early move-in details. We’ll continue to stay in touch over the summer, so we encourage you to check your UVM email frequently.
