Senior Lecturer of Spanish

After earning her B.A. and M.A. in Spanish Literature from the University of Oregon, Rachael joined the faculty of UVM in 2006 as a Lecturer in Spanish. Before coming to UVM she taught at the University of Oregon, Oregon State University and Willamette University. 
 
Rachael has lived and worked in both rural and urban parts of Mexico and her academic interests focus on race and power in the United States and Latin America, intersectionality, migrant labor and the economics of race, neocolonialism, food sovereignty, and sustainability.
