UVM Libraries' subscription to BioRender will end on April 30, 2026. All premium accounts on the Libraries subscription will revert to free BioRender basic accounts starting May 1, 2026. The Libraries are here to support you with information on how you can prepare for this change.
 
The basic BioRender account permits the creation of a limited number of illustrations per month for personal educational use, which does not include publication. We recommend exporting your existing illustrations before April 30 to preserve your use options.

To continue using premium features, users will have to purchase a personal or lab-based subscription. 
 
The Libraries' subscription to BioRender has only held a limited number of seats in the past. Those who use the basic BioRender account or who pay for a personal subscription will not be affected by this change.
