Spring 2018 Schedule

Queer Spirituality
Every other Tuesday, 6-7pm (2/13, 2/27, 3/20, 4/3, 4/17)
With Laura
Have you ever wondered what it means to be a queer person and a person of faith?  Struggled with conflicting messages about religion and sexuality or gender?  Celebrated the beauty of queer spirituality?  This group is for you! This group is a place for exploring the intersections of queer and faith identities, discussions, and community building.

Gender Spectrum
Every other Monday, 7-8pm (2/12, 2/26, 3/26, 4/9, 4/23)
with Lola and Holly
This group is a place for self-identified trans, non-binary, genderqueer, gender non-conforming and questioning students at UVM to build community, ask questions, and support each other.   This group creates space for asking questions; discussing gender identity and expression; and connecting with others about the challenges and triumphs of life beyond the binary.

Coming Out
1st Wednesdays, 7-8pm (2/7, 3/7, 4/4)
with Holly
L/L A102
What does it mean to come out about sexuality or gender identity?  Am I ready to come out to my friends and family?  I’m out.  Now What? This group is for everyone who wants to explore issues related to coming out. Whether you’re considering coming out for the first time, have recently come out, or are somewhere else in the coming out process, everyone welcome.

Men’s Group
Tuesday (after Crockpot) 6:45-7:45pm (2/6, 3/6, 4/3)
with Geoff
This group is a place for self-identified men with a queer or questioning identity at UVM to build community, socialize, and support each other.  The group creates space for discussions around the development of queer identity, processing intersecting identities, relationships, and other topics driven by the group.

Women’s Group
Thursday, 7-8pm (2/15, 3/8, 4/19)
with Maggie and Lola
This group is a supportive place for anyone who identifies as a woman with a queer or questioning identity.  Join us to discuss issues important to you, ask questions, build community, and socialize. The group creates space for discussions around the development of queer identity, processing intersecting identities, relationships, and other topics driven by the group.

Hearts Not Parts
Wednesdays 7-8pm
with Student leaders
Hearts Not Parts is a social group for students of various bi/pan/ace/fluid identities to meet and discuss their lives and identities in a safe and supportive environment. We will also be looking for new leadership soon, so students who are interested in taking on a leadership role in a low pressure queer space are invited to attend.

QTPoC
Schedule varies, see below
with Rachel & Kunal
MCSC or LGBTQA
This group is a place for self-identified queer and trans people of color (QTPoC) at UVM to build community, cultivate joy, and engage critically. This group creates space to exist as a QTPoC to reflect on our multiple intersecting identities as QTPoC. We hope to engage in fun activities, meaningful dialogue, and support one another. This space hopes to challenge the pervasive lack of representation that exists for QTPoC on UVM’s campus and work towards a sustainable space for the QTPoC community at UVM. Staff and Faculty are welcome.
