We are excited to introduce our audience to the dazzling silver medalist of the 2025 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition – Vitaly Starikov, age 30. Born into a family of musicians, he started performing in a children’s choir at only three years old, and by age 14 had committed to a life of music. He has already performed in some of the world’s great halls including Sydney Opera House, Queen Elisabeth Hall, and the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. At the Cliburn, his performance of Bartok’s Second Piano Concerto electrified the room.

Vitaly’s perspective on music is manifested in his repertoire; he presents music that reflects not only tradition, but also contemporary life, striving to offer new perspectives on familiar music and introduce lesser-known pieces to wider audiences.
