Buy Tickets for Gabriela MartinezVenezuelan pianist Gabriela Martinez has a reputation for the lyricism of her playing, her compelling interpretations, and her elegant stage presence. She is a fifth-generation female pianist and began her piano studies in Caracas with her mother, Alicia Gaggioni. She attended The Juilliard School, where she earned her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees as a full scholarship student of Yoheved Kaplinsky. Since her orchestral debut at age six, she has performed with over 100 orchestras and in venues as prestigious as Carnegie Hall, Salzburg’s Grosses Festspielhaus, Dresden’s Semperoper, Copenhagen’s Tivoli Gardens, and Paris’s Palace of Versailles. Her program for us, entitled Alchemy, includes works by Brahms, Clara Schumann, Caroline Shaw, Villa Lobos, Mozart, and Amy Beach.
