BIO

I completed my Bachelor's and Master's degree from Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of the University of Dhaka and I'm a faculty of the Department of Microbiology, BRAC University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. My significant foray into microbiology came through my master's thesis in Molecular Biology Lab of the University of Dhaka. I studied the impact of the endosymbiotic relationship between plants and bacteria on plant growth promotion. After graduation, I joined the same lab as a Research Associate. This research was selected as a poster presentation at the 2023 American Society for Microbiology, USA conference .My passion for developing new tools and methods was further reinforced when I embarked on my professional journey as a research officer at the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b). . I worked over four years with Dr. Rashidul Haque in the Emerging Infections and Parasitology lab here. I worked in different NIH funded projects in collabortation with University of Virginia (Cryptosporidium Field Study), University of Vermont ( Dengue Vaccine Trial) and Johnhopkins University (Household transmission of Cryptosporidium).In 2023 I joined as a lecturer in BRAC University, I delivered lectures across various disciplines such as Computer Science and Engineering, BBA, Law, Math, Pharmacy, Microbiology, and Biotechnology. and coordinating lab activities. My research areas were microbiology, parasitology, virology, vaccinology, and environmental microbiology. I was also honored with the 'ASM Future Leader Mentoring Fellowship,' with a stipend for my diverse research
