BIO
Olivia is interested in immunology and infectious diseases, specifically, interaction between pathogens and their hosts, and how factors relating to each drive disease. Olivia earned my Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from Virginia Tech in 2022, and a Master's of Public Health with a concentration in infectious disease, also from Virginia Tech, in 2024. During her Master's studies, she took on several projects to approach rising antimicrobial resistance, such as using machine learning tools to characterize risk factors for these infections.
