Atri is a Ph.D. student in Dr. Steven Roberts' lab who is interested in researching DNA mutagenesis and repair mechanisms, specifically, the role of homologous recombination in bypassing APOBEC-induced damage. Some methods used for Atri's research include mammalian cell culture, western blots, and next-gen sequencing. Atri graduated from Washington State University in 2022 with a B.S. in Genetics and Cell Biology. Atri was an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Robert's lab and continued working with Dr. Roberts before joining his lab as a graduate student. Atri also worked on examining APOBEC-induced insertion-deletion mutations in yeast.
