UVM’s Office of Engagement welcomes Wayne Maceyka as the newest member of its team. Maceyka brings a wealth of experience in sales, marketing, strategic planning, and relationship management, and becomes the office’s first dedicated outreach professional.

“I’m excited to be in this new role, developing and managing relationships with businesses and non-profits across Vermont. Forging new mutually-beneficial relationships is intuitive to me.” he said.

Maceyka grew up in western Massachusetts and earned a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He went on to earn his M.B.A. from Presidio Graduate School in sustainable management. His educational background and his talent for systems-thinking developed into a passion for finding solutions.

Most recently, Maceyka served as Director of Sales and Marketing for AllEarth Renewables in Williston, a solar energy company creating solutions for homes and businesses. Prior to joining AllEarth, he worked for SunCommon in Waterbury, Vermont (recently acquired by iSun.) As a solar home advisor, he helped Vermont homeowners migrate to solar power or share in a community solar array.

In the non-profit sector, Maceyka founded the HinesburgHub, a pop-up shared workplace/coworking community space for remote workers, work-at-home professionals, and local entrepreneurs.

“We’re excited to add Wayne’s expertise and extensive contacts throughout the state,” said Christopher Koliba. “His strong interpersonal skills and deep interest in creating a stronger, more resilient and inclusive economy make a perfect fit for our mission.”

Maceyka lives in Hinesburg with his wife and two children, ages 7 and 10. In his spare time he loves to tinker in his garage, especially with bikes, play with his kids and read.
