Important! This event has been postponed to September 23rd.

This is one of a series of short events called Sound (Teaching) Bites. In this session, we will discuss some of the reasons that active learning techniques are effective, and how to use this information to develop good (and avoid bad) active learning strategies in the classroom.

About this semester’s Sound (Teaching) Bite Event Series

See full list of these events.

This Teaching Sound Bites series will offer quick opportunities to learn some new, concrete strategies to incorporate active learning or promote student engagement in your teaching. Each Sound (Teaching) Bite will start at noon and open with a 15-minute presentation, followed by a 15-minute follow-up conversation; participants can attend in-person or via webinar. The series draws on presenters from a variety of departments and offices at UVM.

After you register, you’ll be contacted about your attendance choice: in-person or webinar. We will send you a link to join the webinar, if applicable.
