Pedagogical Approaches: Designing Grading Contracts

Whether you’re interested in a labor-based contract, a contract based on meeting particular standards, or specifications grading, this hands-on session will guide you through final stages of selecting your approach to contract grading, and get you ready to explain that choice in the first week of class.
Participants in this session will have the option to join a cohort of faculty who are using some form of contract grading. This session is appropriate for instructors who have attended a previous workshop on contract and/or specifications grading (or are otherwise familiar with the concept), and are ready to begin the work of implementing a contract.
