Autism Goes to College: Film Screening and Discussion

April 22 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Free

Autism Goes to College  is a 2020 award-winning film follows the lives of five students on the autism spectrum who “share their dreams, fears, failures, and successes with candid insights and humor.” The film offers insights for instructors, advisors, and employers who teach, advise, and work with a growing number of neurodiverse students on campus.

The movie is 60 minutes, and afterwards we’ll discuss our observations, questions, and insights gleaned from the movie. You are invited to participate either in-person or remotely.

If you are joining us in-person please come to the Howe Library (Room 303). We’ll view the movie together and have a discussion in tandem with the Teams participants.

If you’d prefer to meet remotely:

  • Please watch the movie on your own beforehand using this link: https://www.kanopy.com/en/uvm/video/11553775
    • You will need to log in with your UVM netid and password.
  • At 1:00 PM, join us in Teams at  for the conversation.

All registrants will receive a Teams calendar invitation the afternoon prior to the discussion that will include both a Teams link and a room number so that you can choose the modality that works for you. Please register using the green button below.
