Advancing Inclusivity while Mitigating Burnout (Hybrid)

Friday, February 17, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Free

Tea for Teaching is a higher education podcast hosted by SUNY Oswego’s Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching. Join us in 303 Howe Memorial Library, or on Teams, to listen to this episode on strategies for building inclusive learning environments while taking care of our instructor-selves. The episode features a panel discussion with Michelle Miller (author of Minds Online: teaching Effectively with Technology and Remembering and Forgetting the Age of Technology); Liz Norell, currently working on a book titled “Why Presence Matters in High Quality Learner-Center Equitable Learning Spaces,” and Kelvin Thompson, host of the “Teaching Online Podcast.”

We’ll listen to the episode together (it’s about 30 minutes) and spend the rest of the time talking about what we’ve heard. If you are participating remotely, you can listen to the podcast on your own device and join us via Teams for discussion.

Please reserve this time on your calendar. You will receive more instructions on how to listen and join when we get closer to the meeting.
