Thursday, August 15, 2019 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am

Free
“Role playing is a learning structure that allows students to immediately apply content as they are put in the role of a decision maker who must make a decision regarding a policy, resource allocation, or some other outcome.” —Carleton College.

This workshop explores the practice of role play in the university classroom. The presenter, Cynthia Reyes of the Department of Education, will reflect on her own experiences of both the benefits and tensions that emerged in her class when role play was used to practice problem solving issues of social justice and equity.
