Vermont EMS ListServs

A listserv is an e-mail list which requires users to subscribe. The listservs are free and available to all who have an interest with EMS related issues. The purpose of each listserv is to allow a message to be sent to all who have joined (subscribed). The list of users is maintained and managed electronically by UVM (University of Vermont).

The following listservs are available for Vermont EMS:

  • VTEMSD3 - for issues concerning the Vermont EMS District 3 area
  • EMSISSUES - for all other EMS-related issues in Vermont
  • NEEMSC - for pre-hospital providers interested in EMS pediatric initiatives
  • VTEMSIC - a statewide listserv for training officers and instructors in Vermont who wish to share information related to courses and training opportunities

Please review the ListServ subscription information for directions on joining, sending messages, archives of past messages, listserv etiquette and more.

CPR Classes

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) classes are not directly offered through REMS, but there are many options in Vermont, including through the American Red Cross (Vermont & The New Hampshire Upper Valley) and American Heart Association (Vermont office).

Note: There are different levels of CPR. Basic Cardiac Life Support is the prerequisite for EMT Training, which is equivalent to either Healthcare Provider CPR or Professional Rescuer CPR.
