Steve Arms serves on the board of advisors to UVM’s Center for Biomedical Innovation. He received his Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the UVM in 1983. He is the founder and served as the CEO of MicroStrain, Inc., of Williston, VT, which produces advanced sensors for medical, industrial, and aerospace applications. Steve is now an active investor and has served as a strategic advisor to several innovative Vermont start-ups, including Beta Technologies, Biocogniv Inc., and Benchmark Space Systems. Steve resides in Shelburne, VT and loves cooking, boating, and traveling with his wife Lisa - and playing tennis, chess, and guitar with friends and family.
