Iniciativa de reportajes en español
The Center for Community News is dedicated to building a sustainable future for local news by forging news-academic partnerships across the U.S. As part of that mission, we believe it is critical to establish news-academic partnerships devoted to sustaining Spanish-language reporting, ensuring that communities that have historically been underserved by news media in the U.S. can benefit from the presence of trusted sources of information.
In this project, we connect faculty leading Spanish language reporting programs, share resources and best practices and build collaborations across programs and with local media partners.
These programs are all different. Some teach reporting in Spanish; some produce content in Spanish; some cover Spanish speaking populations in deep and substantive ways, exploring cultures, food, local issues, and more. But all seek to provide authentic trusted and vetted sources of local information.
