The College of Arts and Sciences annual Staff Recognition Luncheon was held on Monday, September 29 in the Livak Ballroom at the Davis Center.  As part of that event, Dean Antonio Cepeda-Benito had the pleasure of announcing the winners of the 2014 Dean’s Staff Awards for Superior Performance. 

Paul Decausemacker, Art and Art History Department Technical Studio Supervisor, was chosen to receive the Award for Superior Technical Support. Salli Griggs, Administrative Coordinator in the Department of Sociolgy, received the Award for Superior Administrative Support.  These awards recognize outstanding effort and achievement in the support of the mission of the College. Each award winner receives a cash award of $250 from the Dean’s Office and has his or her name engraved on a commemorative plaque displayed in the reception area of the Dean’s Office. 

Special commendations were also given to Kathy Carolin (History), Mary Driscoll  (Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies), and Srebrenka Mrsic (Geology).

At the luncheon the following staff members who are celebrating milestone years at UVM were also recognized:  20 years:  Kathy Carolin (History), Shari Dike (Economics), and Doreen Taylor (Dean’s Office); 25 years: Linda Burnham (Dean’s Office) and Leigh Sweet (Biology); 30 years: Susan Fuller (Biology); and 35 years: Kelly Allen and Gail Kirby, both from Psychological Science.
