Office of the President

Connor Daley, 2013-2014 SGA President
The president of the SGA Senate works in concert with the Vice-President and Treasurer of the SGA to oversee the Student Government Association Senate and its various functions. As a part of a University recognized governance group, the President reports to the Board of Trustees at quarterly meetings as well as serves in various administrative capacities at the University level. The President Represents students and the legislation of the SGA Senate in these roles and reports University action to the students as necessary. Often times the President is the only student representative in policy or initiative forming meetings, however they work with the Vice President to find and create new opportunities of leadership for students and often collaborate with other students and student organizations. The President reports weekly to the SGA Senate and is Chair of the SGA Executive Committee. Finally, the President also serves on Student Trustee Selection Committee, the Honorary Degree Working Group, the Technology Innovation Fund Committee, various search committees, and various other ad-hoc or working groups as they arise.

Office of the Vice President

Jack Birmingham, 2013-2014 SGA Vice President

The Vice President works in concert with the President and Treasurer of the SGA to oversee the Student Government Association and its various functions.Operational and procedural functionality falls under the purview of the office of the Vice President, who is also responsible for mediating interpersonal conflicts within the SGA as well as between student organizations.The Vice President works with the President to find and create new opportunities of leadership for students and often collaborates with other students and student organizations--as a primary part of this goal, the Vice President is responsible for nominating or appointing students to certain campus committees. The Vice President reports weekly to the SGA Senate, and also serves on the Student Trustee Selection Committee, the Davis Center Advisory Committee, the Lynx Advisory Group and the Lynx Action Team.

Office of the Treasurer

Joshua D. Barry, 2013-2014 SGA Treasurer

The SGA Finance Office is an integral part of the operations of the SGA. The SGA Treasurer plays an important role in maintaining the financial operations, and ensuring efficient use of the Student Activities Fee. Working closely with the Business Manager, the Financial Assistant, and the President and Vice President, the Treasurer is a vital part of the Executive Committee.
