Students Earning a UVM Certificate within a Degree Program:

• Tuition and fee rates are set based on the degree being sought. Select your degree student type to view the tuiton and fees that will apply:

Financial Aid Eligibility

Students Enrolled Only in a UVM Certificate Program:

• Federal financial aid is not available for students enrolled solely in a UVM certificate program. See below for other financing options.

Students Earning a UVM Certificate within a Degree Program:

• Federal financial aid eligibility for matriculated undergraduate, graduate and medical degree students who are simultaneously earning a UVM Certificate is reviewed and determined on a case-by-case basis. You may be eligible for federal financial aid if:
• Your certificate coursework fulfills requirements of your degree program;
• You are enrolled at-least-half-time in coursework that satisfies requirements of your degree program AND;
• You meet the eligibility criteria established by the U.S. Department of Education
• To be considered for financial aid, submit the FAFSA for the appropriate school year online at www.fafsa.gov and respond promptly to any requests for additional information from Student Financial Services. For summer aid, file the FAFSA for the preceeding school year.

Other Financing Options for all Certificate Students

• Monthly Payment Plan: UVM has contracted with Tuition Management Systems (TMS) to offer a monthly payment plan. The Monthly Payment Plan allows you to pay fall and spring tuition and fees in 10 monthly installments (5 installments for the fall term and 5 installments for spring).
  • Payment plans begin July 1st for fall and December 1st for spring.
  • This plan is available for a fee of $100 per year or $75 per semester.

  • Please note: The TMS Monthly Payment Plan cannot be used to pay summer charges. To discuss summer tuition payment plans, contact Student Financial Services.
