We have invited leading researchers in obesity and lung disease from across the United States and the Netherlands to attend a meeting on obesity and lung disease. The purpose of this meeting will be to review the current state of knowledge pertaining to the effects of obesity on immunity and inflammation in the lung, with the ultimate goal to identify priorities for new research in this field.
