College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS)
Our programs focus on life sciences that make a difference in people's lives, from improving the safety and quality of the nation's food supply to studying DNA as part of AIDS and cancer research to stewarding the environment. The Master of Public Administration is a program within CALS.
Department of Community Development and Applied Economics (CDAE)
As a student in CDAE, you focus on the application of economic principles and their relationship to leadership and management, economic and business development, environmental sustainability, and social responsibility. The Master of Public Administration is a program within the CDAE department.
The Center for Rural Studies (CRS) is a nonprofit, fee-for-service research organization that addresses social, economic, and resource-based problems of rural people and communities. Based in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at the University of Vermont, the Center provides consulting, research, and program evaluation services in Vermont, the United States, and abroad. The Center also serves as the U.S. Census Bureau's Vermont State Data Center. The Master of Public Administration program partners with CRS to better inform public policy development, implementation, and study.
UVM Transportation Research Center
UVM's interdisciplinary Transportation Research Center facilitates research across traditional departmental boundaries to develop innovative solutions to the complex problems facing the 21st century global transportation system. UVM Transportation Center Graduate Fellowships are available to full-time UVM graduate students who participate in transportation research related to the center's theme. Graduate student funding on TRC projects is available in partnership with UVM faculty.
Peace Corps Fellows Program
The Peace Corps Fellows program at the University of Vermont allows returned Peace Corps volunteers to build upon the communication, facilitation, organization and planning skills gained while serving overseas as they work to address community development issues and facilitate local initiatives, community mobilization and education here in Vermont. These fellowships provide financial resources to Returned Peace Corps Volunteers in earning a Master of Science in Community Development and Applied Economics or a Master of Public Administration at the University of Vermont.

Snelling Center for Government
A non-partisan, not-for-profit organization, The Snelling Center trains, encourages, and supports Vermonters who wish to become involved at the state and local level. The Snelling Center partners with the UVM-MPA program to provide internships in various levels and areas of public administration.
The Vermont League of Cities and Towns (VLCT)
Founded in 1967, VLCT is a non-partisan, non-profit organization owned by Vermont's municipal governments. Today, all 246 cities and towns in Vermont are members of the League. We provide services to these municipal members, as well as to over 135 associate member villages, counties, regional planning agencies and housing authorities.
