Maura Collins Versluys became an adjunct professor in 2008, after completing her own MPA degree at UVM. She is the Policy and Planning Manager at the Vermont Housing Finance Agency where she tracks housing markets, demographic trends, innovative models of housing, as well as political and economic changes to identify policy opportunities. She takes her academic background and applies it to her "day job," with the goal of promoting safe, affordable, decent housing for all Vermonters. Her personal interest lies with housing the most vulnerable, namely people with disabilities and/or who are homeless, which is what she did working in Boston for several years before moving to Vermont.
