Jose Cubero was born and raised in Quito, the capital of Ecuador. He moved to the United States at age 17, and joined the Army after graduating highschool in 2003. Jose was deployed to Iraq in 2005 and did joint operations to secure the city of Ramadi. He left the Army in 2007 and moved back to Florida, where Jose attended college at the Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, pursuing a flight license and a bachelors of business administration. Jose moved to Burlington with his wife in 2011. He is excited to start graduate school and plans to stay in Vermont and raise a family here.
