short cab ride away. The city of Santiago
is home to the Domican Republic's financial district, located in the
heart
of the DR's main agricultural valley, and just 90 minutes from the
beaches of Puerto Plata and Sosua to the north and the mountains,
rivers, and waterfalls of Jarabacoa to the south.
