From Santiago International Airport (STI), La Vega, Santo Domingo, and other points south of Santiago:

• As you leave the airport access road, turn right onto Autopista Duarte (Highway 1) heading north towards Santiago.  From other points south, just take Autopista Duarte to Santiago.
  
• As you arrive in Santiago, stay in the left two lanes of the elevated highway directly towards the monument.
• At the traffic circle before the monument, veer right up a slight hill.  A large casino will be on your right as you reach the top of the hill.  This street becomes Las Carreras.
• Follow Las Carreras down the hill, passing the monument on your left.  About 3 or 4 blocks after the monument, turn left on Sanchez (Cooperativa San José is on the far left corner).
• From Sanchez, take your very first right onto a one way street called Salvador Cucurullo.
• Follow Salvador Cucurollo for 5 blocks.  Hotel Colonial will be on your right, just before the intersection with 30 de Marzo.

From points north:

• As you come into Santiago on Autopista Duarte (Highway 1) from points north you will come to a busy traffic circle.  Take your first right out of the traffic circle onto 27 de Februaro.
• Avenida 27 de Februaro is the main road into the center of Santiago.  Follow the road until it goes up a slight elevated highway.
• A large cementary will be on your left at the intersection with 30 de Marzo.  Turn right onto 30 de Marzo.
• Hotel Colonial will be on your left, down the first street that 30 de Marzo intersects, across from a bus stop.
• However Salvador Cucurullo is one way the wrong way here, so proceed one block and turn left on Independencia.  Go two blocks and turn left, and then left again onto Salvador Cucurullo.  Hotel Colonial will be at the end of the block on your right.
