Post Content, e.g., Documents,
Readings, and Links
Blackboard allows you to create Content Areas in which you can upload and organize course materials. You may already have a Content Area link in your menu called "Course Materials." Multiple file formats can be uploaded to the Content Areas, such as, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF, video, images, and audio.
Things to consider
Blackboard will allow you to attach any file type to the system, just keep in mind that the students must have the necessary software to open it. For example, if you post a PowerPoint file, your students will need PowerPoint or a program that can open PowerPoint files. A common document file type is PDF because these files may be opened with free web applications like Adobe Acrobat Reader.
