Sonya Anderson Worth is a practicing physical therapist, and is Board Certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. Sonya is a Lab Instructor in the entry-level Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program and has been teaching at UVM since 2001. As a native New Zealander, she received her Physical Therapy undergraduate training at Otago University, Dunedin, New Zealand, and her advanced training in Manual and Manipulative Therapy from Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand. Sonya leads the lab portion of PT 349 Musculoskeletal Patient Management II and teaches in labs for PT 241 and PT 242, the musculoskeletal track of the curriculum. She practices physical therapy in the Outpatient Physical Therapy team at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, VT. Sonya treats patients with a variety of neuromusculoskeletal injuries with a focus on treatment for patients with spinal, shoulder and hip pain.
