Vermont Technical College

The goal of our educational programs here at Vermont Tech is to integrate high quality classroom instruction with the Vermont Tech Farm and other agricultural businesses. This enables our students to obtain both a technical and practical understanding of material, promotes interaction with the agricultural community and develops the communication skills of our students. The school’s 500-acre working farm acts as the living laboratory for all of the degree programs. Students get opportunities throughout the year to experience the ins and outs of farming first hand. The farm includes a sugarbush, dairy, vegetable garden, orchard, pastured poultry and more operations are added each year. We aim to model the many options for diversification and allow our students to experience these ventures first hand.
